What is your role at Pathway Legal?

I am our Pathway Legal summer student, which means I do mostly legal assistant work while I’m not in school.

What should clients look for in a lawyer or law firm?

I think a calming environment is important, so many clients walk into our office understandably very stressed. If you leave your meeting feeling understood and better about your situation, I think that’s important for your own sanity in trying times.

What attracted you to Pathway Legal?

Val mostly! Val and I have known each other since I was a baby so when the opportunity arose to work with her, I had to jump at the chance. I intend to go into law after my undergraduate degree so the experience I have gained through Pathway has been such a great learning experience. We also have such a nice office space which is totally a plus!

What are your interests in addition to law?

I’m in my undergrad at SFU for criminology, the program and faculty are so passionate it’s impossible not to love the field. If I’m not at school or Pathway I can be found swimming in the Gorge or baking.

What is your favourite kind of animal? 

I’ve been a big fan of crows recently. They’re always plotting something sinister.
