A lot of law firms offer free consultations. We don't. And we want to tell you exactly why.

When something is free, it rarely comes with real preparation, real time, or real advice. A free consultation is usually a quick meet-and-greet designed to get you in the door. You walk away with a business card and perhaps a general idea of what to do next as well as a vague sense of the firm's vibe. That is not what you came for.

What to Bring to Your First Consultation

The more prepared you are, the more value you will get from the hour. We love when clients send materials in advance. Here is what helps us most:

  • Your three most recent income tax returns and notices of assessment.
  • Any previous court orders or agreements.
  • Previous affidavits, if any exist.
  • You can even fill this handy financial statement out and send it to us in advance of your meeting with us.
